Mmm green springs!
Is that an UR coupe all chopped in half? That makes me very sad. Are these for sale, or from a build thread? I wonder if their doing the b/c pillar chop to bring the wheel base into spec with the Sport Quattro. I've always thought that'd be a (risky) but cool project. Especially if you can figure out the windscreen swap.

It's a 2nd-gen Coupe Quattro 20V, basically the 2-door version of my sedan 90 Quattro 20V. And it's from this parting out thread: http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?…

Ah, hard to tell without seeing the front or the rear of the car, actually the fenders look a bit squarish to be the S2 (or Second Gen...? I've heard both they seem a bit inconsistent as the S2 usually elicits the image of the wagon).
You wouldn't happen to know how much different the 2nd gen URQC is from the first? outside of the 20vt it looks mostly like body work... so fenders deck lid and grille and engine... was it fundamentally different or just a refresh?

I believe it was a completely different platform. Certain things carried over, but not enough to call them "roughly the same aside from cosmetics." Also, the engine in my Audi and this Coupe is a 20V naturally-aspirated 5-cylinder. 164 horsepower and 154 ft-lbs. Not bad for the time, but not quite 20VT territory. You can find engines like that in the 200 turbo quattros. It's a pretty common swap for these cars.

Wow, I thought the 2nd gen QC's had turbos much like how the first gens did unlike the Coupe Gt's being 2wd and I think were narrower... the slight flares on the URQ (not quite Sport Quattro wide) made it look meaner than the GT.
I've also seen some for sale, it sounded like they were turbo w/o any mention of a swap. Was the 20vt available? Or were they all N/A?

All second-gen B3 platform cars are naturally aspirated. I think that's just the Coupe, the 80, and my 90, which are both the top of the line B3 cars. Desu-San-Desu owns an 80 Quattro which has the same engine as me, but with only 10 valves and 30 less horsepower.
You could technically turbo the n/a 7A engine, but it's not a common thing because of the head gaskets and other considerations. Much more common to just do a swap.
